Detaildrift is a reusable jQuery image zoom and pan component with a configuration studio. Start with a filled example, explore details, save your project and export a self-contained viewer. No account, email, payment or API key required.

Create a viewer

  1. Try the fictional Harbor Works site diagram or choose your own PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF.
  2. Use the zoom buttons, keyboard and drag to explore. Add a title and meaningful image description.
  3. Save an editable JSON project, or export HTML with the image, viewer runtime and bundled jQuery included.

Image and project processing stays in your browser. Saved JSON embeds the original image, settings and view, so share it intentionally. Browser-local drafts are a convenience; download a project as your portable backup.

Guide visitors to the details that matter

Save up to six named inspection views in the same image. Exported viewers include keyboard-accessible destination buttons, so visitors can jump to an authored detail and continue zooming and panning. Portable JSON retains those destinations. Replacing the image clears them; this is navigation, without image editing or annotation.

A working jQuery component

Integrate the viewer into an existing jQuery page, using your existing compatible jQuery instance. Methods cover zoom, bounded pan, fit, actual pixels, view state, replacement and cleanup. Try two independent viewers with destroy and reinitialize or open the standalone example. The campus diagram is original fictional demonstration artwork.

Personal and commercial use

The approved free-product terms permit personal and commercial use and export, sharing, embedding or sale of the outputs you create, including their embedded runtime. Artwork rights remain with their rights holders. Redistribution or resale of the editor/package or a competing rebranded copy is not authorized. Read the use terms. Bundled jQuery retains its MIT license notice.

Optional custom integration

Container layout, branding, meaningful text alternatives and setup on an existing site require a separate agreed scope before payment or a work commitment. This page offers no checkout, recurring charge, guaranteed support, service-level agreement or update schedule.

Guide and limits

Read the studio and integration guide. The downloaded studio needs a static HTTP server so it can read its bundled runtime; file-origin studio launch is unsupported. Exported standalone HTML has no external runtime dependency. Uploads are limited to 8 MiB and 40 million pixels; SVG uploads, image editing, annotation and tiled gigapixel viewing are not included. Large-image memory use and input behavior depend on the browser and device.
